Your First Visit to Our Clackamas Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Upon arriving at our office, you'll be asked to fill out some paperwork.

Then you will get to speak with Dr. Jameson privately in a treatment room about your condition and your goals for care.

Dr. Jameson will examine you (this is usually done without you having to disrobe).  It's a good idea to wear loose, comfortable clothing.  But if you forget, we have exam shorts or gowns to change into.

Depending on your condition, Dr. Jameson may need to take X-rays but only the necessary views are taken.  Most of the time, X-rays are not necessary but if they are we will refer you to an imaging center that is convenient for you.

If you already had recent X-rays or MRIs (within the last year), be sure and bring them with you for Dr. Jameson to review.

If appropriate and if you are a clear candidate for our kind of therapy, you may be offered a treatment plan at the end of your first visit - after some education about how and why chiropractic works.  That's when, you'll receive a Report of Findings with an appropriate treatment plan from Dr. Jameson.

If you decide to accept this treatment plan and the part you will need to play in it, you might be able to start care right away.

If there are complications or X-rays are needed, then the Report of Findings and a treatment plan will be presented on your second visit.  We like to be thorough and since a lot of people come to us with misdiagnosis, we want to make sure that we haven't missed anything.

Next, what to expect at your second chiropractic visit.

Dr. Kim Asks some important questions of interest to Clackamas residents - Chiropractor Clackamas Dr. Kim Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Clackamas folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
How could a child benefit from chiropractic?
Regardless of our age, each of us in Clackamas encounters physical, chemical and emotional stresses that exceed our ability to handle. For newborns, it could be the trauma encountered at birth. For toddlers it could be from learning to walk or ride a bike. Many of the problems we chiropractors see in adults are the result of neglected traumas from childhood.
